A new acceleration programme that is addressed to Romanian technology startups was launched in the Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.
Techcelerator, which comprises the former teams of RICAP, Sprintpoint and the recent launched GapMinder’s investors, has disposable funds for the development of companies in the pre-acceleration phase.
The programme runs over a 10-week period both in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca and is helped by over 60 Romanian and foreign mentors. The first round of the programme will start on 31 March.
Techcelerator team is very close to the venture capital fund GapMinder, which targets tech start-ups. GapMinder waslaunched on the Romanian market with an initial investment budget of EUR 26 million financed from the EU sources.
The management of GapMinder announced that in the next years it will provide seed financing up to EUR 1 million and potentially another EUR 3 million for each company as follow-up rounds.
